The Orrido di Botri is a limestone gorge on the slopes of the Rondinaio and Tre Potenze mountains with walls reaching to about 200 meters heights, excavated deeply over time by the waters of the Pelago River in Bagni di Lucca.

 

During the summer, when the flowing water has a lower flow, accompanied by a mild temperature, it is possible go up the final stretch from Ponte a Gaio to the swimming pool.
The steep walls have always been an ideal nesting site for the Royal Eagle.
 

 
On the spot there will be guides ready to show you the path and how to deal with it best, each participant will be given a helmet that will have to be worn obligatory.
 

 
It is advisable to know how to move through the stones, especially because they are slippery and enter and exit several times from the stream water.

Costs:

  • The cost to participate is € 13 per person for the guided tour to which € 2 is added for entry into the nature reserve which will be donated to the carabinieri. Children up to 11 years old pay € 7.
